Professional Boundaries Statement

As a member of COSRT, I adhere to the Code of Ethics laid out by them here. Additionally, due to the nature of the specific work I do, I hold further professional boundaries which are laid out below.

Beyond my life as a therapist, I am an openly non-monogamous, queer and kinky human. I am active in queer and non-monogamous spaces and communities in London. Many clients specifically want to work with me because of my personal experience in these communities, but it does mean that there is a higher-than-usual chance of encountering one another outside of the therapy room.

Social Media

My personal social media accounts are private, apart from LinkedIn.

Queer & Kinky Spaces

If you are active within the London kink scene, we will discuss and agree on how we would navigate the possibility of running into one another at the start of our work together.

Dating Apps

Similarly, we may see each other on dating apps.

If I recognise a client, past or present, on a dating app, I will block them if possible to prevent their profiles from being visible to me in future. If a client sees me on a dating app, I ask them to do the same.

I am always open to talking with clients about their thoughts and feelings arising from seeing me as their therapist on a dating app or in community or play spaces.
